Chakra Workshop
The Chakras with Chrissie Chakra is the Sanskrit word for wheel (of energy). The seven main chakras are located on the torso and the head and are activated by theprana (descending) and apana (ascending) energies as stimulated by yoga. They are formed in ascending order from the moment of conception and usually become fully activated by the time we reach adulthood. The lower three chakras represent our past conditioning, family and tribal beliefs. Blockages are most likely to occur in these lower chakras which may then manifest as illness or emotional dysfunction. The heart is our link between our material and spiritual worlds, whilst the upper three chakras are linked to our spirituality and are representative of who we truly are. Having fully functioning chakras means having greater energy, better physical health, emotional well-being and deeper spiritual insights. In this course, we will meditate using sound, as an effective way to cleanse and activate the chakras. We will also use visualisation and inner child techniques to identify our negative behavioural patterns and to heal old wounds. Quote: "The Chakra course helped me to identify aspects of my life that have been holding me back in achieving my potential and having a rich and rewarding life. If you are stuck in life and find yourself unable to break free of repeated behaviours then I would strongly recommend that you take the Chakra course to free yourself to a better life and embrace a brighter future." CK November 2005 The Yoga with Scarlett The yoga will compliment the day by day journey of chakra work. The emphasis of the practice will be to stimulate and experience each chakra through the light of heightened awareness. Postures will be basic and easily modified to be accessible to all. There will be a Sun Salutation session to begin each day and then, later on, a yoga session with pranayama, asana and relaxation. Sun salutation A series of flowing postures to warm the body, introduce breath/body synchronisation and internalise awareness. Pranayama Simple breathing exercises to centre the mind, relax the body and release the breath. Asana In this course we will use simple postures (asana) harnessing streams of cosmic (inter-stellar) and telluric (earth) energy to activate and stimulate the chakras. Relaxation A period of stillness to assimilate the energy work of the practice. For further details or to book please contact us Retreats/Workshops/Trainings
