Holistic Yoga Therapy (HYT)
(minimum x2 90 minute sessions: consultation and follow up)
Holistic Yoga Therapy is the signature treatment that we offer at Ashiyana. With one-to-one yoga-based therapy sessions, the client can gain a deeper understanding of their physical, mental and emotional wellbeing, and work with the therapist to create a bespoke practice to take away. This is a great opportunity to progress along the yogic path in the traditional way that yoga was taught in the Indian ashrams.
A HYT session can focus on any physical or emotional aspect. Whether it is an emotional pattern that you are noticing in your life, or a physical issue that you would like to look deeper into and resolve.
Your first session is a detailed discussion relating to your physical body, general health history as well as reviewing your daily habits and routines related to sleep, diet, emotional states and lifestyle. This is followed by an assessment of your physical and breath patterns.
In the follow-up session your therapist will guide you through your individualized practice incorporating aspects of asana (pose), pranayama (breath work), meditations etc. In this session you will receive a written sequence to take home as well as nutritional and lifestyle suggestions.
Integral to our philosophy is that we wish to empower you so that Yoga can become your personalised "wellbeing system", once you know how to listen to what your body is asking for. It is our vision that Holistic Yoga Therapy will provide you with a way to take your experience here at Ashiyana and integrate it into your daily life.
