Nurture your Heart, Belly & Soul Retreat

Join Imken on a journey of softly unwinding out of stress, tension, perhaps dis-comfort; flowing gradually into more open-ness, moving body as much or as little as needed, to find your very personal way into deeper relaxation, and towards a more open heart, stronger intuition, and to build physical and mental strength and clarity.

This week is all about exploring and nurturing our heart and belly space, sensitizing into the sometimes hidden gems of intuition and our potential to express and feel love - towards ourselves firstly, and with that towards others, as well as letting go of potential emotional and physical blockages in and around the heart - with that in our chest, shoulders and neck - as well as in our abdomen and organ system, so we can improve digestive functioning and strengthen our gut intuition.


Some classes will be more active and flowing (Sama Yoga), others more relaxed and slow (Yin & Restorative Yoga). Meditation, Pranayama (breath work) and gentle Somatic yoga will also be offered.

It’ll get musical at times with live guitar at hand, as well as plenty of eclectic sounds and, of course, nourishment through silence will be also there to support.

All are welcome, including complete beginners. If you are able to attend a few yoga classes before, even better!

Ashiyana’s well known delicious brunch and dinner buffets with ample fresh fruit & veg and Continental/Indian/Nepalese cuisine will please your belly! Herbal teas, best ever Masala Chai, and fresh water are available around the clock. All water is filtered including that for cooking.


A variety of treatments are available at Ashiyana’s beautiful in-house Spa with natural water pool. Treatments range from Ayurveda Consultations and Detox Programs as well as Massages (Thai, Deep Tissue, Alchemy of Touch) and more.


Plenty of time to swing in a hammock, read a book, stroll down the vast white beaches of Mandrem, bathe in the ocean, make new friends whilst paddle-boarding, visit the night market, enjoy concerts & jam sessions in nearby cafés or dance under the ‘Banyan Tree’. Or simply none of that but to relax.

I really appreciated your generous commitment to provide each of us with a variety of tools to use in our practice. This was more than a yoga experience: a joint exploration, a precious human and spiritual encounter shared by women from all horizons.  Thank you again for all this.’

The closest airport is Goa Dabolim (GOI) around 1 to 1 ½ hours by taxi. Pre-paid taxis (around €18) are available at the airport. Equally, Ashiyana will be happy to arrange one for you.
